Ai, Ai, Ai

Why is it that someone can be nice to almost everyone and still get shit on? They can have good conversations with people, do favors for them, etc., yet they still get shit on. Why does it have to be like this? Why can't these people be treated nicely and not get "pegged"? What has this world become? Yet when you ask if you can defend these people, they say no, and push their true feelings aside and while doing so, building up anger, hate, stress, etc. until they finally blow and the reaction is worse than the original one. It shouldn't be like this. It shouldn't. I feel sad for these people. I really do.

The Covenant - Why would you want to see this piece of $h17?

The Covenant
The Covenant

Full power. If you are part of the bloodline of “the covenant,” then that is what you have. Full power. The Covenant, which hit theaters on September 8th, is a horror film where four childhood friends live a life of decadence and power we could only dream of. The movie, to say the most, was alright.

To get the movie started, you get to sit through about five minutes of opening credits. After the credit-fest is over, the movie finally begins. The first thing we get treated to is the classic “high school bon-fire party” scene in which they all must scramble so the cops don’t get them. The four boys that belong to “the Covenant,” Caleb, Reid, Pogue, and Tyler, get chased by said cops, ride off a cliff, and then appear again behind the cop car as seen in the trailer of which they overplay. Then, for the next ten to fifteen minutes, we are treated to a long bit of dialogue. In the process of all this talking, we go from the dorms to a bar where they all end up dancing and end up in a fight outside.

Next, towards the middle of the film, we find out that there is a fifth person that belongs to the Covenant, Chase. He wants the full power. On their eighteenth birthdays, they “ascend” and gain “full power.” Well, Caleb’s eighteenth birthday is approaching and Chase wants to gain full power. For the next half of the film, we get to see Chase making threats, harming Pogue, and stealing Caleb’s girlfriend, Sarah, in order to convince him to hand over his power. If he doesn’t show up at the barn to fight, the girl dies.

Caleb’s eighteenth birthday finally arrives. And it’s time for the fight scene. I won’t give anything away, but this would be the “high point” of the film. The only thing that brings it down the scene is that it is way too long and there were way too many CGI effects. Just like all the other movies in existence though, the “guy gets the girl and they live happily ever after.”

All in all, it was a pretty moderate film, but it pretty much followed the basic plot line of all typical horror films. I heard this somewhere else about the movie, and I felt I should restate it here. “You would have been equally served by taking the money you spent and setting it on fire and watching it burn.” My final rating: 3 out of 5.

Life is just one big pile of bullshit.

Life sucks. End of story. No matter what happens, good or bad, you always end up getting reamed.

If there is one rule that I think is funny is the whole "too good of a friend" thing. Example: Say you see someone you're interested in. You work up the courage and one day start a convo with them. Eventually you become friends. Now that you know them well, you might go and ask them out or something along those lines. They then say no because you're too good of friends and that'll break the friendship. Well......the only reason you became friends in the first place was to get to know them better to actually ask them. Is it just me or is there something screwed up with that logic of thinking.

Well......that's all I have to say for now, I think. I'll add more later.

Censorship

Why the fuck do they censor TV and radio stations?! We know what they are saying anyway. This week there was a big thing that George W. Bush said the S word, or shit, on national TV. Big fucking deal!! It’s just a word.

The world would be a better place if they stop censoring things on TV. There are a bunch of people who watch TV and say Family Guy and South Park is “filthy smut” and that everyone shouldn’t watch it. Yet everyweek they are complaining about something new that show did. The Problem: They’re telling people not watch it, but they fucking are!!! Am I the only one who sees a problem with that?

As Peter Griffin would say, “That’s What Really Grinds My Gears.”
